I first started collecting coins over 40 years ago, going through thousands of Lincoln cents on the family kitchen table, and I found my passion and then started to buy and sell coins. 2. What are proof and mint sets and what are their value?

Both proof and mint sets are made by the US Goverment. Proof Sets are made from 1936 thru present. They are made from specialized polished dies under extreme pressure. Mint Sets are made from 1947 thru present. They are made from regular coins dies. Each year has a seperate value so the best thing to do is bring them in so I can look them in the book to see the price.

3. Do you need an appointment? And do you charge to evaluate coins?
